About Private Eyes Investigation & Security Services

Private Eyes Investigations & Security Services was founded by former Detroit Police Officer, Dennis Sroka. During the first half of his career as a Police Officer, he was responsible for investigating major crimes. He and his crew were responsible for arrests in many publicized cases of murder, robbery and rape suspects.

After many years of serving his community, Dennis followed his passion for detective work and joined the private sector as a Security and Private Investigations specialist. He went on to work security for many major functions including the Republican National Convention in Detroit, the Detroit Grand Prix, the Novi Expo Center, numerous sporting events, rock concerts and personal celebrity security services. His credentials include special event security such as the North American International Auto Show, The Detroit Boat Show and many other events at Detroit’s Cobo Hall. His services have ranged from personal security for private companies as well as numerous celebrities.  During this time he saw a need to upgrade the private investigation and security industry into the 90’s, which would bring highly trained professionals into the field to replace the untrained, part-time, second job security guard. Thus in 1993 he founded Private Eyes Investigations and Security Services.

Since 2002, Patricia Sroka has continued to uphold the business with the same high standards and morals as her late husband. Her experience includes 15 years in the industry and she carries a CCW (Concealed Weapons Permit). Her passion for Security and Investigation began when living in the Detroit area where she raised her 2 children. It was then that she saw the need for better security in the local sector. Patty started in the security business in 1991 working for Jerin Security at Cobo Hall. 2 years later she joined Dennis when he founded Private Eyes Investigations and Security Services in 1993. Patty was specially trained by Dennis and several Detroit Police officers in the security and investigation industry.  Patty continues to strive to grow Private Eyes Investigations and Security Services and to make Michigan a better place to live and work.
